East Hampton, New York
LaGuardia Design was approached to begin developing plans to improve Herrick Park, an existing public park in East Hampton Village. The Village Planning Board officially hired LaGuardia Design in July 2019 based on a proposal focusing on new pathways, re-configuring ball fields and tennis courts, improve lighting, as well as creating more formalized entrances with more functional parking area. As part of the redevelopment, the design firm has been tasked with integrating the eight-acre park with three contiguous parcels to the north that were purchased for the village by East Hampton Town with money from the community preservation fund. These parcels will add nearly three acres to the park.
